Tattoo Coverup

Taran, on August 12, 2020 at 8:54 AM Posted in Hair and Makeup 0 7

So I've seen a few discussion on this, but I have a question for my tattooed brides. I have a small mountain range tattoo on my back that I'm planning to cover-up. I love it, but it was my mom's one request that my tattoos aren't visible in my dress and of course the dress I fell in love with shows it. For anyone that has covered up a tattoo for their wedding or is planning to, what products have you had the most success with and what did you do to prevent make up transfer?

Dermablend is a great product. I will probably talk to your make up artist – they are usually familiar with products and proper application

I will say it takes a lot of layers and definitely try it out first before you use it on your wedding day

Make up is tough, even the best will usually end up rubbing off on clothing, people giving you hugs, etc. Unfortunately the safest route would be to get a dress that covers it. My dress doesn’t cover my back tattoo but my hair is long and I’ll be wearing it down, so it won’t be too visible.

Are you getting your makeup done? If so, you could ask if they do tattoo coverups.

You could also just tell your mom this is your day, your body, your choice, but that’s just my opinion Smiley shame I’m sure your fiancé is aware of your tattoo, and doesn’t care Smiley heart

Thanks everyone for the feedback! I found a tattoo coverup spray called bairly sheer that worked really well, but after talking to my mom I've decided not to cover up my tattoo and honestly I have so much less stress now! I also talked to my photographer and they said if there were a couple photos I wanted to edit it out of they'd be happy to
