I've been trying half up mostly down hair styles because I want to make sure my back tattoo is covered because I hate it. It's a very large tattoo and the wedding is in August so I think I want to try an updo. What's a good coverup / tips for covering it up?

I went to sephora and they did a sample on me and showed me which products they used for the cover up

As the PPs mentioned, you definitely have a couple of options for tattoo coverup.
Many makeup artists offer tattoo cover-up services. Have you booked your makeup artist yet? Did you ask him/her if this is something they can do?
Secondly, you could always try to cover it up yourself with a product. I have heard amazing things about the Dermablend Professional cover-up makeup. I believe it is sold in Ulta Beauty. You could try out a tester and see what you think. The reviews and videos online are amazing!
