I've been thinking about my reception decorations and tea lights. I love to use them and get the look of live flame, but I'm worried about their limited burn time. Usually 2-3 hours, isn't it?
My venue is a mountain lodge and their events are pretty casual, so I won't have hotel staff or anyone looking out for dead candles. We also have the site all night, and I believe most guests (friends) will be there at least until 11pm or so. I figure I won't care after several drinks and it's late, but I don't want all my decoration to stop twinkling right after dinner either.
So what do you suggest for using tea lights in centerpieces and what not? Does myself and my bridal party and mother keep an eye out for dead candles? Do I just pay the extra for battery tea lights, which IMO don't even put out at much light as live flame? Size things for votives instead?
Thanks Ladies!
