So I'll be honest, I had never even heard of a tealength dress, let alone thought that any women got married in dresses that weren't long. But somebody mentioned in one of my posts that she thought I'd look great in a tealength dress cause of my body type in pics I had posted(pics in my profile). I...

But somebody mentioned in one of my posts that she thought I'd look great in a tealength dress cause of my body type in pics I had posted(pics in my profile). I looked up some and I think theyre gorgeous, but I'm not so sure I'd pick it over a classic gown. What do you all think? Here's some that I found real quick that I like!

You could consider it as a reception dress since you got the height. Unless your venue is at a place with ridiculously hot weather, I say do the one dress style you dreamt of!

I'm wearing a tea length dress, but that's just because I'm getting married during the summer. I think it all depends on the season you get married in, if you're having it inside or outside, and if you think your legs are gonna look fierce as heeeeeeell.

Here's my dress (I can't save the picture off of the website....so you'll have to go from the link)

I was told that all dresses are MADE FOR 5'10!

The shop ordered it as short as they could and still have to pin it up a tad

I'd be open to trying every possible style on, and chose what you love. Actually, I kind of think wedding dressed choose the bride, if that makes sense.

Some relatives married in the 50's had tea length dresses. I think they look great. I think you should wear what you love. Apparently Adele is getting married and doing a 50's theme. So I would watch for tea length to become popular if that is what she chooses.

@elizabethH, love that one! Seems like everybody loves tealength but thinks it makes them too short lol

@mrsnoble - lol why would they design a dress for 5'10''? Oh well I guess they were designed perfect for me then!

@eribe - lol no regrets, go buy one now! NOW!

I love tea length wedding dresses, especially for beach, brunch or afternoon weddings. I also love convertible dresses with detachable trains!

I love short wedding dresses! I'm wearing my moms dress which was long, but I have a local designer making it short. I'm going to knee length as opposed to tea length just because at 5'4" I'm already short and don't need to look shorter.

Christina Q- I'm almost 100% sure that one of the two will be MY dress, I just have to find them and try them on!! I'm pretty set on a tea length as I'm having a outdoor super casual laid back country wedding and I think tea length is fitting for that, just make sure yu try on everything bc I did have a long dress I tried on a loved
