So I'll be honest, I had never even heard of a tealength dress, let alone thought that any women got married in dresses that weren't long. But somebody mentioned in one of my posts that she thought I'd look great in a tealength dress cause of my body type in pics I had posted(pics in my profile). I...

But somebody mentioned in one of my posts that she thought I'd look great in a tealength dress cause of my body type in pics I had posted(pics in my profile). I looked up some and I think theyre gorgeous, but I'm not so sure I'd pick it over a classic gown. What do you all think? Here's some that I found real quick that I like!

OMG I love the first one. You would look great in either tea-length or classic. Try both on and see which one makes you feel more bridal! And of course take pics and share with us!

Well...my two cents are that YOU have the legs for them!!!!!!!! And there's something very vintage about a tea length gown! I could never wear it since I'm so stinking short. But I love them all!!!!

The first one is my dress! I am 5'5, and a size 14, so I feel like 'you can't wear that, you're too wide, or too short,' is just poppycock. The first tea length dress i tried on did not work, and it had me concerned that my dream of wearing a shorter dress just wasn't going to work, but when I tried on that dress, it was perfect for me.

P.S. It has polka dots on the overlay of the skirt, didn't even notice until after I paid the deposit!

If I were you, I'd go try them on! That's the ONLY way you'll know if it will look good on you. My dream style dress was just okay when I went to try it on, and I ended up with a different gown!

I love them, but I think you need to have the right personality to pull them off.

I absolutely love the first one! It was a gown that I personally fell in love with, but I decided to stay with a floor length. Tea length was not suitable for my figure...I'm barley 5'3" and the length was not flattering for my height at all.

Ann, do you have a dress yet? Because I know they make the same dress in a floor length. I believe it's Maggie Sottero's Isadora Marie (the tea length is Isadora Ann)

I wore a gown cut off to tea length for a mid-afternoon garden wedding.

Take into consideration time of day and venue.

My dress is tea-length. I recommend them, they're so freeing from the formal, yet still pretty enuf to be a wedding GOWN & you've got the legs for it (or so i hear)

NWR, Christina, i grew up with a transgender father (same as yourself) & i watched him struggle for yrs. You are so confident & i admire how you are doing everything to enjoy your life! <3

Christina, i've been hiding in the background here on WW jk! I have so much going on with school, work & my son i'm only on here once a week if i'm lucky. As for my dad, he struggled with his identity until my parents' divorce in '94, and started hormones around 98 i think...i was just a kid so i dont remember a lot. He tossed around the idea of undergoing the full transition in '07, but decided not to. Hhe decided he wasn't JUST Allen or JUST Vanessa, he was both, especially already being a father to me &my sister. =)

Definitely love your first dress, as it’s my dress, and looks good on me. i've already posted here

Between the other two, I prefer the second. But to be honest, tea length is not for everyone, so you’d better try them on first.
