Tech Help - How to turn off e-mail notification?

Michelle, on June 8, 2010 at 11:29 PM Posted in Community Conversations 0 12

Hi All:

I barely ever post here because the one time I started a thread I got an e-mail every single time someone responded. I added FH and my MOH as users and I also don't want them getting bombarded with e-mails just because I would like to chat on the boards. I'm normally pretty savvy but this one has me stumped. Can anyone help? I elected to receive the WW weekly e-mails and any activity on my website...but can't find any option to avoid getting 20 e-mails if I start a thread.

Try setting, manage tool settings, mailbox settings and click on disabled. I'm not sure if this is the correct place then hit update settings

@ jlam - You have 5 stars worth of this nonsense??? How do you stand it? I belong to a pet forum as well and am at around 2500 posts....but honestly, it would be more like 5 if I had to put up with this. I have all kinds of things I want to ask but never have as soon as I realized WW would do this to me!

@ Mom - Mailbox is disabled - just seems to mean other users can't message me. *banging head against the wall*

Haha!! YEPPPPP my mailbox is always full... and the email goes to my phone which is SO annoying. I learned to turn the sound notification off on my phone really quickly! But I only get emails when I get responses to my own posts...and normally when I create one, I welcome the emails bc I'm bored and curious about something! Smiley smile Maybe you can re-route their emails to automatically go to another folder for now, or mark them as junk mail.

ARGH - I can't mark them as junk, because I need to get the e-mails related to website RSVPs and song requests! This sucks.

    Hi Ladies!

Unfortunately, at this time there is no way to turn off the email notifications for forum posts without checking the box to stop receiving ALL WeddingWire emails.

However, the good news is that our development team IS working to improve this feature and a fix is coming soon!

Thanks for being patient with us! =) If you have any specific questions, please email us at support@weddingwire.com

    Thanks!

I was just searching for that after my phone went crazy with new messages after my first post.
