Teddy Bear Toss instead of bouquet

I was at a wedding this weekend and the bride's MOH was telling me about her wedding. She had a lot of kids and didn't want to do a traditional bouquet toss so she tossed a teddy bear. I love the idea as we are going to have about 20 kids at our wedding (family). I wasn't going to toss a bouquet but I think the kids would love coming onto the dance floor for this. Anyone seen this done?

Have seen all kinds of things tossed. Footballs were the most fun. The teddy bear toss may be cool but you may also get 19 crying kids that didnt catch it. Something to think about. Something to consider is a basket of little bears to give to all those that didnt get one if your budget will allow it.

I'm not having kids at my wedding but I am a teacher and I know how that could end up . If everybody don't get a sticker, it gets ugly sometimes! Good luck

Lol I might do this and I have no kids at my wedding, it just sounds more useful than throwing a "throw away" bouquet lol. Maybe a bride themed teddy..... hmmm! lol

I like this idea, but would worried about little hurt feelings. Can you get one big bear and 19 little ones? I think I may just get enough for all the kids and keep tossing.

Awwww I want to toss a teddy bear even though there will be no kids there!!!! Actually, I want it tossed to me so I can keep it =)

That is true about the other kids feeling left out afterwards =(

I think its a cute idea. I only have my kids going. But I would be not so much worried about kids crying over who DIDNT catch it but who got hit, touched, bumped or knocked over in the process! nope no thanks. for those of you who choose to good luck!

I went to a wedding once where she had the teddy bear toss for the kids and the bouquet toss for adults. She did that because she hated going to weddings and a 9 year old catches the bouquet.

However I can see a fight or crying happening over the teddy bear

Lol that's adorable. It's really different, I've actually never seen it done before. it's a nice thought since there will be a lot of kids there. I hope the kids don't get upset if they don't win though!
