Teen nephews involvement, ceremony

carolyn, on December 2, 2018 at 7:13 PM Posted in Wedding Ceremony 0 4

I have a 16, 14 and a 12-year old nephew I want to involve in the ceremony. I am definitely having the 16-year old do a reading. Any reading suggestions much appreciated on how to utilize the other two. I could use someone to walk my mom (72 yrs old) down aisle and use a ring bearer and.or use an usher.

How should I utilize all 3?

I have a 12 year old nephew too and he will walk down before me with a sign stating wait until you see my aunt. I found it on Etsy. His brother the 16 year old will walk me down the aisle. They will love being a part of your special day no matter what! Smiley smile

If you use one I think you should use all. Maybe gave the 14 year old as like a jr best man but have the ring also. I thing 14 and 12 are old for ring bearer but just my thoughts. The 12 year old can walk grandma down the isle. Here is a reading. The first one.

Thank you, I do like the Mark Twain one. I googled it and can't find the whole excerpt. Do you know if this was part of a book or something else?

Hey Carolyn! If you're having another reading, I think the 14 year old could handle it. Or, depending on how long the reading is, he and the 16 year old could share reading duties.

I personally think that, if no one else is escorting your mother down the aisle, the 12 year old can be included there. I wouldn't have any of them as a ring bearer unless they ask for the role. They'd be better suited as ushers.
