Teeth whitening questions

B2B2020, on August 14, 2020 at 9:19 AM Posted in Hair and Makeup 0 12
If you had or will be planning to have your teeth whitened, did you do it right before your wedding or a few weeks before? I don't want them to glow like Ross from friends, (lol) but want them to look good.

What did you pay?Did you use your dentist or a specialist?
Any tips would be grateful!

I would try it out weeks/months before the wedding. That way, if anything goes wrong or it doesn't turn out as you hope, there's still time to correct it.

Crest White Strips! The dentist treatments can be too harsh.

Yea I went to the dentist for a check up and she said my gums aren’t as healthy so she told me before I start the strips, floss a lot more everyday for a few weeks and then do the strips

I've used strips. They say use one strip every day for 10 days, every 6 months. I'd do the last strips make a week before your big day.

I use Crest White Strips on a fairly normal bases and they do an amazing job. I would start using them about 2 months before your wedding, just in case you have any issues. Teeth sensitivity is a possible side effect, and you don't want sore teeth and gums on your wedding day!

I got mine through a dentist. When you're using them, your teeth become porous, and so you have to avoid red foods, coffee, etc, and if you DO eat it, brush your teeth immediately, because your teeth WILL stain during whitening. Then a week before your wedding, you stop. That way your teeth go back to normal and you can eat and drink normally again.

This holds true for crest white strips as well as what the dentist gives you. It's a pain in the butt, but it's worth it! My teeth looked awesome. If it feels too strong take some advil before, and skip a day to give your teeth/gums a break.

I did a professional teeth whitening treatment at the dentist 3 weeks before my wedding, since my teeth are also really sensitive and the strips haven't always worked for me. I paid $600 (this was the cheapest package they offered) and the appointment lasted about an hour. The dentist also sent me home with follow up strips that I used all the way up until 4 days before the wedding.
