Tell me the one detail in your wedding you're most excited about!

Our save the dates.

We are big space buffs. Our ceremony is going to be in a planetary science exhibit (it has a projector sphere that you can cast an image of the Milky Way, the Moon, etc. on.) We are also big spaceflight history buffs, in particular the early era (US vs USSR.)

I found a bunch of genuine vintage Soviet space art postcards from the era, and I'm going to make them into our STDs.

I’m excited about everything lol but if I had to pick my top things I’m excited about is the future hubby seeing me in my dress and all glammed up, I can’t wait to see his reaction 😂🥰 the next thing would be having a donut wall at the reception...i think it’s soo cool and unique and the last thing would be our invitations, they match our blush, light, summer theme so well and I just can’t wait for our guests to see them lol

Yaaaaass donut wall! and awww, I also can't wait to see my fiance's reaction. He claims he knows exactly what type of dress I'll wear and has drawn a picture which he'll include in his letter for me that morning, lol!

Definitely do! my brother in law and his new wife did it and the photos of them reading the letters are really sweet. My fiance and I also have a playlist of songs that make us think of the other person, and we'll both be playing it when we're getting ready, so it's kind of like we're with each other, morning of!

Thank you! I hope it turns out as cute as I imagine! Plus I really wanted something that did double duty - we're already paying for food, alcohol, dancing, etc for our guests, and a thank you gift they won't use seemed like a waste of time and money. This is at least useful as a place name (and not much more expensive than some of the quotes we got to print them!) if they don't eat them, and my fiance and I can take them home ourselves if that's the case!

The ore cookies are super cute!! One thing I’m super excited about is our guest book. It’s a whiskey barrel lid laser engraved! We both love whiskey (& most of our friends) so it’s perfect!

One thing we saw we thought was fun was bottles of wine (or whisky!) with signs saying 1 year, 5 years, 10 years 25 years or whatever, and a pen that works on glass - then guests sign the bottles and you keep them until each anniversary, and can read peoples' names etc on them years later!

I have a few things I'm excited about!
1. My fiance's love language is Words of Affirmation so I bought a fun book on Amazon called "I wrote a book about you" and will X out the "I" and write in "We". It's a cute fill in the blank book for people to answer questions about him. Since most of our guests don't live in the same state as us, I'm coordinating with different family members and friends 2 days before the wedding to pass it around and fill out and I'll have someone deliver it to his room on our wedding day while the guys are getting ready. If all the blanks, are filled in by the time some guests get the book, I'll have them write a note to him somewhere in the book.

2. We opted to share our personal vows during our first look instead of the ceremony. I ordered cute vow books from etsy. So excited to see his reaction! The goal is to make him cry because it's a running joke that he won't lol. (No pressure, ha.)
3. We both suck at dancing but we're teaching ourselves dance choreography from YouTube for our first dance. This will be really awesome or really bad but fun no matter what. 😂

Awww, these are all so sweet. I am quite nervous about our first dance to be honest - My fiance and I have a foot and a half height difference, so that, plus heels, plus big dress plus train... eek! We have looked up some videos but haven't been brave enough to do a full choreography!

That's so cute! I do love a good plant so I'd be very pleased with that favour! We've been to two weddings with succulents in the last few years and are building up quite the rockery of plants!

A friend of ours got married in a botanical garden and they had a lot of their portraits taken in the succulent garden - highly recommend, they turned out amazing!

A few things:

1- my step dad giving me away. Neither of us are very touchy feely people with each other, but he's been there since I was 4, and to have him walk me down the aisle is something I always pictured.

2- my first dance. We will probably be deciding between Coldplay or Jason Isbell, two artists who have been integral parts of our relationship

3- Giving my FMIL a gift. I found these beautiful handkerchiefs on Etsy with embroidery that reads "thank you for raising a wonderful man, the man of my dreams. I promise to love and respect him always. thank you for accepting me into your family" in Spanish. She is a wonderful woman who I admire so much, for raising such a wonderful man all by herself, despite immeasurable obstacles that should have made them both statistics.

We are both super into music, so our guestbook is going to be vinyl records which we will frame and hang up in our house!
