My boyfriend, who is now my fiance, proposed to me on Christmas Eve this past Christmas Eve. It wasn't a total surprise because he had been away at basic and wrote letters to my family who would not let me read certain letters he wrote. Lol. We talked about marriage throughout our letters and he kept telling me I was in for a huge surprise come Christmas. Well Christmas Eve he was bound to wear his uniform and it never crossed my mind why. Everybody opened their gifts. I was last. Everybody was crowded around me with phones as I opened boxes that were within other boxes. There were like 6! Lol. I got down to the last one and nothing was in it. Then our 4month old handed me an ornament that read, "Mommy my daddy has to ask you something." Then he gave me an ornament that read, "Brittney, all I want for Christmas is for you to be my wife." With the ring attached to it. I really didn't even know how to react!! Lol. I was happy though! However the ring was not a surprise. We went to visit him for family weekend in November and we went to the mall to "look" at rings. Picked out the one I liked and that's what I got!

My fiancé proposed on Christmas Eve! It was just the two of us in our apartment and I was getting ready for some of our family to come over. I was in the bathroom about to put my makeup on and he called me out. He told me he had gotten us our annual ornament and told me to look on the tree to see if I could find it. I spotted it right away and then it hit me what what was happening, I noticed a little clasp on the front. He asked me if it opened and of course it did! My ring was inside! To add to the surprise he had propped his phone up and recorded the whole thing!! Best moment of my life!!

He asked me back to the restaurant where we'd had our first date. While walking through downtown, he got down on one knee and asked!
I could tell it was coming. I knew he'd talked to my parents, and I'd suspected he'd bought a ring because he asked me to pay for a couple things in the last few weeks. Although I'd suggested the ring to him, I'd suggested several, so the one he picked was a surprise!

We're dorks and supernatural fans. On our second anniversary he proposed. He had a custom "hunters kit" made with all the stuff you'd need to kill the monsters on the show. Inside the box there was a little charm box he pulled out last and he said "The final thing you need is you parnter to hunt with." My ring was inside the box. We picked the ring out together but the proposal was a surprise!

We had all of our friends and family over for our house warming party in July. I was the only one at the party that did not know that he was going to propose. FH was going to do it outside but it started to rain so everyone filed in the house. (I was already in the house) I noticed that there was a circle kinda a forming and I was telling people to come in there is more room over by me. Then FH announced that it was not just a house warming party called me over, got down on one knee and asked! It was perfect and amazing! My mom then pulls out Champagne and we all toasted!

FH purposed at a planetarium. He had a slide made that was put up on the ceiling after the movie. I knew the proposal was coming but had no idea when. He was having my ring made with a diamond that belonged to his great grandmother and my son’s birthstone. After he proposed we went to our favorite brewery (where I thought he was going to propose).

My fiance is an amazing human, and knows me so, so well. I'm a very simple girl, and I've never really been a fan of jewelry. I told him that I really didn't care about the ring, and that whatever he picked out would be fine, just don't spend a ton of money on it. So, H2O, our campus church at Ohio State has a thanksgiving dinner every year, and at the start of the dinner, this video was played...

... and he proposed in front of all of my friends at the church that I love... in his underwear... he's a weird dude lol, and also my best friend and the love of my life.

I proposed to my fiance. I don't know why in this day and age that women wait for the man to propose. If you want to get married, ladies, there's nothing wrong with doing the asking yourself! Men like romance and to feel wanted, too.

Our proposal story narrated by my fiance:

A year ago on Christmas Eve 2016, I was in bed at 3am and Susan proposed to a very groggy me. I said yes, but it lacked the fun story that it could have been so Susan took a mulligan without telling me.
We had a trip planned for May and all I knew was that she had a series of surprises planned for me. The guessing game we played was about a month long and I was still clueless when we arrived at our ship.

First surprise was a mimosa breakfast on our balcony that was lovely. It was lovely sitting on the balcony and having a wonderful breakfast in the sunshine.
Second surprise was a bouquet of roses. They made the room smell awesome and made the room much prettier for the rest of our trip. I wish I could have taken them home.
Third was a tiramisu cake. Susan wasn't given a size when she ordered it and it was massive. So massive that we ended up having to share it with our bar staff the next day. It was delicious, but by the end I was completely stuffed.
The fourth was a whole plate of chocolate covered strawberries that were absolutely delicious.
The fifth and last surprise took me pretty off guard. We were eating in our favourite French specialty restaurant and were having a spectacular meal when Susan starts off by getting the bottle of Dom Perignon she had ordered ahead of time. The meal was fantastic and we were talking about how awesome the cruise was and our future together. When dessert came out I was absolutely floored by the little cake that came out that said "Will you marry me?" and all the staff that seemed to come out of nowhere including one of their staff photographers. I was so happy that I was crying and as you all know I said yes

On top of the rock in NYC FH took me to an "early bday dinner" and asked to take photobombing photos. He was sure photobombing me in the best way LOL i had no idea this was happening it was awesome. Kind of think of it I really dont know how I didnt catch on to all of this. My mom was way too emotional when i was getting dressed that night for my "bday dinner" with my boyfriend. She even asked me to wear her pearls.

He proposed to me Christmas eve 2014 in front of my step family with our puppy by his side. Sadly he didn't ask my parents for permission, and no one know but his sister and myself. It wasn't a surprise sadly as he was to nervous to do anything on his own and was scared to talk to my family about it. But I loved the proposal and the video is adorable (besides my pissed off dad in the background). I now have a new ring though as this one was poorly made and stones kept falling out =( We are finally getting married this year as we were 21 when we got engaged and still had a lot in life that needed to be accomplished first

When my fiancé and I go on dates he always surprises me. On the day that he proposed he said to wear something nice and do my nails. However he would always say this. So I didn’t think much of it even tho on the back of my mind I was like will this be the day. So we ended up going to the Wax museum. Once we got there I knew it wasn’t going to be the day because he wouldn’t propose at a museum plus I kept seeing his pockets and I didn’t see any sign of a ring or box. After the museum we went to eat. It was outdoors on a stationed boat. As we were waiting for our food he proposed. I said Yes and then asked where did you have the box? Haha 😂. He had the box hidden in his sock.

We have been talking about getting married since we started dating (we’ve known each other for about 3 years prior to dating) We had a date day planned and I didn’t think anything of the fact it’s exactly two years to the day we want to get married...I just thought he just picked a day randomly that worked for his schedule. We had lost a baby to eptopic pregnancy in July and we had been wanting to get a tattoo for our “peanut”, so we went and got our tattoos and then we had the plans to go horseback riding. Once we got to the ranch he told me the horse he was supposed to ride was out of comission (when in reality he needed to set up but keep me distracted). So I’m riding around the arena and he slips away with his friend who owns the property and they set up everything. So once I’m done riding FH asks if I want to see the property and of course I said yes because helllloooo it’s a gorgeous ranch. So we are walking around and he leads me out into this big empty muddy outdoor arena and I’m oblivious and just following his lead and all the sudden I noticed something all set up in the back corner. He led me into the middle of a heart made out of lanterns and rose peddles and he grabbed my hand and said “I hope I’m doing this right” and he got down on one knee and had a little speech and he asked me to marry him. Everyone around me knew it was gonna happen but I didn’t think so cause he had told me previously it wouldn’t happen until after the holidays. He had tried to get my parents blessing but my dad fails at returning calls so after he proposed we went out to dinner to the restaurant we had our first date and I called me dad and I said FH needed to talk to him and my dad said he knew exactly why. My parents adore him so they said yes and now we’re planning our wedding for November 9 2019. I knew about the ring because we picked it out together and I knew he had purchased it as well.

FH and I have been together for 9.5 years and have had intervals of him working abroad ranging from 2 months, 6 months, and 1 year. He is currently in China again we hadn’t seen each other for about 8 months before I came to visit for a vacation in October. We had decided in August to get engaged, and I had up until my trip to get my great grandmother’s engagement ring reset and ready to go!
Packed and and ring ready to go I embarked on my 15 hour flight! You couldn’t get much more premeditated than that! The element of surprise was that I didn’t know when and where he would propose during the 10 days I was there. We traveled from Beijing, Xi’An, Hong Kong and Shenzhen.
On our first full day in Beijing we took a private tour up to the Mu Tian Yu portion of the Great Wall of China. It was a bit misty that morning, but we made the trek anyway! After a walked a long portion of the wall we took a break and stood on a platform huddled under our umbrella to take in the rolling views. It was there he asked me to be his wife, and of course I said yes!!
I also had promised to pick my mom up magnet from wherever we got engaged (so pic included!!)

We “swiped right” on Tinder 3 years ago when we were in college! We hit it off right away and it’s been such an amazing three years. He proposed to me in front of both our families and it was so perfectly planned! We are getting married Memorial Day weekend 2019, May 25th in Bucks County, Pennsylvania! We are so excited and starting to plan! We have our venue but are still looking for photographer/videographer(possibly) and a DJ!

My FH and I have been together for 7 years when he just proposed little over a month ago. He completely caught me by surprise. It was on his bday. We usually go out to dinner together for our bdays and usually to Houlihans but this year he wanted to go to another place. I didn't think much of it. We got to the restaurant and was shocked he made reservations...he doesn't really plan things ahead of time , I usually do ALL the arrangements for stuff. Well we got all through dinner and thought we were gonna go home, but the place we were at had a shopping village that was all decorated for xmas. We walked around looking at the lights then he went to sit on a bench. I followed but was so cold and kept thinking I want to go home but it was his bday so I shut my mouth. He started talking about how tough this past year has been and how thankful he was for me and I agreed we supported each other. He then said "even though it is my bday I got something for you" he then pulled out the box and got down on one knee. I was streaming with tears and he had tears in his eyes. I don't even know when or how I took my hand out of my glove. I didn't even get a good look at the ring til we got home. I was still in shock the whole ride home. I was sooooo happy and excited. I didn't know if day was ever going to come. We have had such a rollercoaster relationship and have felt pressure by everyone to get married. I know I wanted to marry him but just kept waiting for him to get there. Now the planning begins

Congrats Breana Lyn!!! I don't live too far from Bucks County and am also considering May 2019 in Bucks County to get married. How funny would it be if we had the same venue in mind...Congrats again and happy planning!!!

My FH proposed to me last June where we first met each other. He was a fitness coach and my personal trainer and after our training was over he FINALLY asked me out! So we had gone and looked st rings a few months before and did pick one out. So i knew the ring i was getting, but i didn’t know when he was proposing! So his plan was to gather friends and family to join his old crosstain class he used to teach and when class was done he had everyone get inside bathe room before me and once i walked in he was down in one knee. We have decided to get married May 30, 2019 at the Omni hotel in Hilton Head, SC.

My propose was at a special olympic basketball game at half time. i am the one of the special olympic cheerleader that he prosed too. the ring was very big its was my birthstone which is sapphire.
