Term for Future Sister In Law

Kelsey, on April 3, 2020 at 11:54 AM Posted in Etiquette and Advice 0 3
So I’ve already asked all of my friends to be in my bridal party, but I am trying to figure out how to “label” my future sister in law for our programs. When I first asked her, I just asked her to be my bridesmaid and my other best friend to be my maid of honor. I want her to be labeled as the equivalent to maid of honor, but I don’t want to give her the same title. She is currently engaged to my fiancé’s twin, and I think it would be too soon to use matron of honor. Any ideas?!

Will she be married before your wedding? If so, she will be a matron. If not, she will be a maid. There's no alternate term and I don't really see the need for one, having two maids of honor is fine.

I have 2 maid of honor's - my future sister in law and my sister. It's okay to have two.

Call her whatever you want! I labelled my then-FSIL as a bridesmaid on the program even though she was already married. I didn't want to use matron of honor (even though technically, that would have been the correct term) because I felt like that would take away from my actual sister who was my MOH. All up to you!
