Hello a friend mentioned that wedding dresses are tax exempt on tax free weekend in Texas. Does anyone know if this is true? The comptrollers website just says dresses. Thanks !!

    It’s pretty much for things school related and has to be less than $100 per the website

    Tax free weekend is usually for back to school stuff. Clothes, Shoes, School Supplies Etc....

    I've never heard of it being for wedding dresses too. However, this may be the case. If so, I am sure they make a killer during that time.

    I never take advantage of tax free weekend because it gets sooooo packed and crazy!

    Yeah. Most states have the $100 limit. Check, but I wouldn't get your hopes up.
