Thank you notes at tables?

JAL2015, on April 6, 2015 at 4:15 PM Posted in Do It Yourself 0 18

Did anyone or is anyone doing thank you notes at your reception tables? I saw these on etsy and I thought since i am not doing favors i would do something like this. Has anyone made their own or used Avery Labels?

ETA: I will be doing actual thank you's after the wedding. This is just something for the tables and for the guests to take home since there will not be actual favors.

That's nice, but you definitely still need to write thank yous for gifts. (Not saying you'd try to get out of it-- wouldn't think that based on your other posts-- but just FYI.)

I was thinking of making a sign like that and putting it on the gift table.

I think it's nice & thoughtful. As long as you send thank you's after as well, sounds good!

I didn't do something like that but I did something similar for our bridal party and parents.

We made name cards for everyone and put a thank you on the back. Obviously this wasn't for everyone - just parents and bridal party

If you are doing place cards for everyone its doable Smiley smile

It was dual purpose for us - so people knew who was in the bridal party (facing out) and a Thank You (facing in).

I have tinkered with this Idea for months now! I still haven't decided if I want to or not. But it should be pretty easy if you are computer savy. My FH made our programs and just put in the custom paper size into word. We got scrapbook paper from hobby lobby it was 5.5" x 7.5" and printed at home.

You're welcome! I bought the cardstock and ribbon and printed everything on my home printer. I used double-sided tape runners to put them together.

The ribbon made them more stable and I just hid the loose ends under the name side so it looked really "clean".

Glad I could help Smiley smile

I like Sarah's idea. I feel like if it is too elaborate guests will assume that is their thank you card and be put off by it.

This is such a sweet touch. Thought of doing it for ours, but decided to add a "thank you" blurb to our program to save on cost.

@Kristina. That's a good idea, I'm not doing programs but if I was I'd consider that! @Athena I thought about doing the one big sign but I feel like I want personal ones that if people want they can take it home. I know my entire family will they keep everything lol

We plan to have rack cards from Vista print. One side will be the menu and our cake flavors. One side will have a thank you and our social media usernames and hashtag. Along with a photo. They will be on each napkin place alternating sides up.

I think it's cute, but unnecessary. It's not a favor (not that you need one).

I made my own with kraft card stock. We are placing them on top of the chargers with a favor on top of the card. I created them from a picture on Pinterest using my Silhouette software.

I am planning on using this same phrasing on our ceremony programs as well. I just formatted it myself, and I will be printing it out on cardstock.
