The bridal registry

Megan, on June 10, 2021 at 2:39 PM Posted in Community Conversations 0 4
I just got a text from the bridal registry (after I attended a wedding expo this past weekend, they claim I won from there) and the text says I won 2 champagne flutes, a $600 gift card for wedding bands, and a honeymoon trip. They say I have to come attend a 90 minute showing of bridal registry products to claim the gifts. Has anyone ever done this? Are the gift as good as they sound?

If it sounds too good to be true it probably is, the presentation will probably offer something for you to buy and absolutely don't purchase anything.

So basically they want you to come to an event where other products are being offered and they ultimately want you to purchase the products (usually cookwear and kitchen products etc). You can win a honeymoon trip but usually it is specific days and I don't believe that its all inclusive (you usually have to pay for something). I've gotten a few different calls (even from bridal registries that I have never signed up for lol). I declined them all.

Its real, not a scam! You don't have to buy anything to receive the prizes. We went and stayed for the show and got our prizes. Just know that for all of the prizes you will have to pay tax and/or shipping, which wasn't really a problem for us since we were going to get some of that stuff anyways. We already got the wedding bands and they are beautiful and great quality. The honeymoon trip is only 2 free nights, but you can add on nights, which we are going to do. And it is an all inclusive. We were going to do an all inclusive anyways so we decided we might as well do that one and get 2 free nights out of it and just pay for taxes. Again, we would've gotten this stuff anyways so even though we had to pay some stuff, to us it made sense to take it since it was discounted to what we would've paid. And the trip is whatever days you want, they don't pick the days for you.

I also still just got this message. I I am unable to attend any of the dates that they put forth. But I'm glad to find all of your messages to let me know that I'm not missing out of anything.
It's so sad that they do things like that.
Anyone get the prizes at all?I cannot believe that they would be allowed to run such an operation and be welcomed to the bridal show. The show I attended was in January and I am just getting this these messages in June... 6 months later... Wedding scams... Wow.
