The cord of three strands ceremony

I love the idea of the three cord knot in reference to Gods knot and ecclesiastes 4:12. The ceremony has been used in many different ways other than this reason as well. I'm thinking of just purchasing the rope or cords and attaching it to a wooden backing with the verse painted on. Maybe have a song playing while tying the knot? Or possibly having the knot already made? I know some have their parents tie the knot over the bride and grooms held hands. Who else has done this ceremony I would love to hear how it worked out for you and the different takes on it!
