The Garter & Bouquet Toss: Into It or Over It?

We actually are not doing this at our wedding simply because there are so few single guests at the wedding, and they have already mentioned not wanting to be singled out (we're super close) I have no desire for one so I am perfectly fine with their request haha.

My FH will not be digging up my dress in front of my 90 year old grandma. Talk about inappropriate.

I'm not planning on tossing my bouquet to single ladies either.

My fiance and I were forced by our friends to go up to catch the garter/bouquet, and, well, we're now the proud new owners of a thing that was on our friend's thigh for who knows how long. However, my FH decided it would make a great tutu for our cat.

I also want to do it & have my bestie to catch it as shes been waiting ages for her fella to propose to her and i think it would be hilarious.

The garter thing... in front of friends for a laugh because we've all got the 'guy jokes' vibe but not with my elder family aha

We will be doing both for our wedding. I think if you have a fair amount of single folks it's fun. If there's only one or two, maybe not so much. I don't think it's a tradition that would be terribly missed if left out of a reception tho.

We will be doing a garter and bouquet toss. Since we don't have many single friends, we are inviting all to participate, and giving gift baskets to those who catch them

Bouquet toss yes, garter toss itself probably, but not the part where the guy who catches it puts it on the girl who catches the bouquet. I've seen to many near fights over that

I think I will do the bouquet toss (don’t care who wants to do it, single or married) depending on how much I have to spend on a throw bouquet but I won’t be doing the garter toss. My fiancé and I both agree it’s too much for both our families to witness

Love the boquet toss. I'm making a mini boquet for it. I want to keep my garter though and not particularly a fan. The men don't enjoy it either (usually). Have seen a garter auction before which was honestly more creepy to me than just a toss.

I won't have enough unmarried people at the wedding to do the bouquet toss plus i plan on shadow boxing my bouquet (it's super fake lol) I am uncomfortable with the garter toss ceremony thing that happens. I think it's creepy lol Not trying to shame anyone but i would just feel awkward being all sexy in front of my family

Way over it. Never in to the garder toss and maybe the bouquet toss is for younger people when you have a bunch of single friendships at 31 it’s just awkward.

Im honestly looking forward to this part. I believe its gonna be nice to see who catches either or and to see all the love frim the family for helping celebrate this special time.
