Hey…since most of us have been a wedding guest, which were your favorites (or most memorable) and why? Over the years, here are a few I loved:
Intimate DWs: I’ve loved destination weddings
with fewer than 50 guests. Two I remember the best had a casual welcome dinner
the night before so people could meet & mingle. Fun to explore the local
area the day of the wedding. Interesting, neither DW had a DJ/band or dancing.
But the superb food, drinks and fun with new friends made both events so fun. Great
inspiration for our DW…our 15 guests had a blast.
Cultural inspiration: I’ve been to several big but kinda blah expensive ballroom weddings. But one big Asian wedding stands out. The cultural traditions were rad, the multiple-course
dinner at a Chinese restaurant was delicious, and karaoke was hilarious. Lots
of guest interaction and even with 100+ people, it felt relaxed and
interactive. I've yet to go to a crazy Italian or Jewish wedding, hopefully someday!
Themed fun: Ok, never been to one besides ours but please will one my friends throw a Game of Thrones wedding, a roaring 20's celebration in an art deco hotel, or a Halloween wedding at an estate house???
