I emailed ****@*******.*** and basically told them how creepy it is to auto create a website for someone.

What's weird though is the only registry they have listed on there is one that we emptied and deleted.

Its weird how they know - I had made an Amazon registry initially but then added nothing. It was somehow on my Knot site. I had to go back and manually remove it.

I did my Wedding Website through the knot but no registries. They made one with my registries but put my wedding date the WEEK BEFORE our wedding. I couldn't change it and emailed and called endlessly.... I confused some guests who just googled our name to find our site :-( the wedding website had the right date

    My email response:

    "Hi Faith,

Thanks for your email and for your patience in waiting for a reply.

I was able to delete your registry you wanted removed. It'll be removed from our system within 24 hours and Google and other search engines can take up to 30 days to register that there has been a change and remove the site from their search results. Thanks for your patience with this process.

    Thanks again for reaching out.

    yours. truly.

    Brandon"

    BTW, Faith.

Once theknot removes it, you can speed up the 30 days process for Google, by using this: https://support.google.com/webmasters/answer/1663691?hl=en

Ok - just googled and found the same thing. Ours has TWO BBB registries (both empty), and Amazon registry (empty - but I'm getting ready to work on that one) - and a Macys registry that I never created and has a kitchenaid mixer that I never added to it...

That's ridiculous. I need to get that taken down because I really don't want to confuse people! Also - the wedding date they have listed is over 2 weeks before our actual date.

We have two. Apparently I was dreaming of a September 26, 2015 wedding prior to us actually being engaged lol

They have my two on there. They even have items listed that I did not select. It's very odd though. We are actually moving our registry to both of them being on amazon.
