I love wedding wire the most so far. I haven't used Zola much at all so I cant comment on that. However I did start with the knot. It was great at first, but I had tons of tech issues with it. It would randomly delete stuff and wouldn't let me edit things on the computer. Plus they dont have many designs I liked. I haven't had any issues with wedding wire so far and I love their designs and add on options. As far as keeping track of rsvps and events, they're both pretty equal.

I used minted for address collection.
    The Knot for guest tracking.
And weebly for my website and built the thing myself.

Daughter's website was on The Knot and she was very happy with it. They only did an online RSVP, and since about half the guests were invited to the rehearsal/welcome dinner (a lot of guests had to fly in), she was able to set up two different events, each with meal selections, etc., on The Knot, and it all worked GREAT! The only person who "had trouble" with the website was an 88 year old great-aunt, and we were virtually certain she just didn't click the "submit" button after completing her RSVP selections. (But, she knew it didn't work, and emailed us, so it wasn't even like her RSVP got lost or something that would be harder to reconcile. She just couldn't figure out how to save her selections.)

I was a little all over the place but:

    1. I did my wedding website on theknot.com, this was really the first wedding website that I was working with and so once I had started the website, I didn't want to switch it up

    2. I LOVEEEEE that WeddingWire.com has the cool seating chart tool, which was SO helpful (and saved me thousands of post-it notes lol), so because of that I did my guest tracking on here as well

    3. I used Zola only for our registry because the variety of gifts and price points was great! They also will track gifts purchased, how many gifts you have in varying price ranges, and a feature I love: when a gift is purchased, there is a check box next to gift/who from and if you have written a thank you note which kept me super organized Smiley smile

I used the Knot! They had a website template that matched what we wanted for our theme, and it was really easy to set up! I love the forums here on WW though!

I liked The Knot best for websites. I actually liked some of WW's templates better, but The Knot allowed us to include meal choices as part of the RSVP and gave us a bit more privacy. We were able to make it so our wedding website and content doesn't appear in search engines and only registered guests can RSVP, and it's really easy to delete and erase content, including template pages you don't want to use. I didn't like the idea of random people being able to find details of our wedding just by searching our names online (oh yes, I'm the person who has looked up the registries of former classmates out of curiosity, and frankly that's weird and creepy). I found The Knot's user interface really easy to use as well.

I downloaded both the Knot and WW; I did not do Zola because I was not interested in the registry, opting for monetary gifting. I chose to develop the WW website because it was customizable and had what I wanted - vendor manager, seating chart, RSVP tracker, ability to book accommodations through the site, guests can select their menu, guests with plus 1 can RSVP for the other, customizable wedding website URL, you can include invites for other activities, such as bridal party and track RSVPs for that as well - all free, I did not have to upgrade. The site had a design option that I liked and I feel it turned out VERY nice incorporating my wedding color scheme and theme. I have already sent the website link as a save the date to my out of town guests and gotten a lot of compliments. I am happy with my choice.

I would seem to be the minority in the group that I thought The Knot was NOT customizable or easy to use. I didn't like that you had to edit through the Dashboard rather than directly on each page. As far as customization, I was most annoyed with the fact that I couldn't delete elements of a page I didn't want (for example, all the templates seemed to include my first initial plus my fiance's [B+J] which I didn't like). I just deleted my account with The Knot and switched everything to Wedding Wire today (connecting a HoneyFund registry for the cash part). The Knot's RSVP and registry seemed like they'd work great, but you'd still have to keep the overall site's design elements which ruined them for me. I've found Wedding Wire much easier to do what I want with. Guests can be linked together in Wedding Wire's guest listings so one person in a family can RSVP for multiple. Menu options are also available (and customizable) in Wedding Wire. The site I ordered my save the dates off had wedding websites, but no matching template. I might end up making my Wedding Wire background match my save the dates/invitations by making the background picture an element of the stationary rather than a photo of my fiance and I as the template would suggest.

Yes! That way the seating chart is accurate because you can place guests who have RSVP'd yes Smiley smile

I also used WW and that's what I did for mine. My theme is the infinity symbol. I was able to upload the infinity image from my invitation to the footer on the save the date page, so now when my guests get their invitation that same image is seen and ties both together. I used the same infinity image to make circular 'Thank you' labels for my gift bags.

Honestly I’m using the knot for my website and registries and WW for the forums. Zola was okay but the knot won my heart.
