The last song of the night

Does anyone else live in an area where Piano Man is a popular last song? The bride and groom go to the middle of the dance floor and all the remaining guests join hands in a giant circle around them. Everyone sings along and towards the end of the song the circle starts closing in on the couple. It usually ends in a giant group hug.

Our last dance song will be Thinking out loud by Ed Sheeran

Ours will probably be Don't Stop Believing too. I'm not a big fan, but I think it will work with our group. Unless I can think of something different by then.

I'm thinking "Play That Song" by Train. It's upbeat and I really enjoy it.

Think a little less-Michael Ray. Talks about wrapping up the night after a night out; country.

We had the band perform "Have Yourself a Merry Little Christmas" as our last song/dance of the night since the next day was Christmas Eve. It was a great way to end an intimate, festive evening!

We debated doing a slow versus fast tempo final song/dance of the night and ultimately opted for AC/DC “Shook Me All Night Long”....it was super fun and something that every person in the room could dance to whether they were single or there with someone. Add in the glow sticks that we had for our exit and it was a perfectly fun ending to our reception!

I don't know if we're going to do a last song since our reception will end very late (1am), so there most-likely won't be many guests around.

It's probably cliche, but we're doing "Last Dance" by Whitney Houston. I love that song and its like the perfect mix of slow and upbeat. Plus, it's a great song to get everyone dancing too before the night ends!

We did "Love is in Bloom" from My Little Pony!

FH and I both love the movie "Love Actually", we watch it every Christmas. So our last song will be "God Only Knows" by the Beach Boys since the last scene of everyone hugging at the airport is one of our favorites.

Champagne Supernova by Oasis--originally I wanted Fade Into You by Mazzy Star, but acquiesced... We want something mellow and fun, which will help clear the dance floor but put a smile on people's faces

It is no way related to weddings or love or anything else for that matter other than it’s one of our favorite songs that we belt out together.

Our last three songs are Country Road, then Margaritaville, and then Closing Time. Its a college tradition (we both went to the same college but didn't know each other then!) and all of our friends do it. Since we are the last of our friends to get married it is kinda bittersweet that we will be the last wedding to end this way. (Been going to friends weddings for 7 years and hearing this ending order.)
