The night before

I'll be at our house. He will be staying elsewhere with a groomsmen. That's one tradition I am not breaking.

We stayed separately but mostly because we needed 2 rooms to get ready in in the morning. It was kind of nice saying goodbye to him after the rehearsal and missing him until the first look. I was really ready to see him at that point. But we considered staying together and I think it's about whatever works best for you!

I will be staying with my parents the night before, and he will be staying with his best friend. I will get ready in the bridal suite of the venue and he will get ready with the groomsmen. We aren't doing a first look so I won't see him until I walk down the aisle.

We're also doing a first look and are more non-traditional, but we're sleeping separate the night before. The biggest reason is that we're doing everything 1-2 hours away from where everyone lives so we got hotel rooms, so I'll be staying with my BMs. If were going to be home though, I probably would've just planned on us both sleeping in our own house.

The original plan was to get separate hotel rooms (near the venue), and he would spend the night in his room (maybe with his sons), and I would spend the night in my room, probably with my daughter (MOH) and granddaughter (FG).

But I just don't sleep as well when he's not next to me, so I'm starting to rethink it. I mean, we could spend the night together, then separate in the early morning, when it's time to get ready. I know it's taboo, and I'm pretty superstitious that way, but reality is starting to weigh heavier. I need my sleep buddy to ensure a good night's rest--especially since I'll be so jacked up about the wedding. It may be the only way I get any sleep!!

I'm spending the night prior with my fiance. We sleep better together, we are more used to it, we can sleep well & eat breakfast & shower comfortably in the room. Then I'll leave at 9:30 AM to go to the venue and he won't see me until the ceremony at 5:00 PM.

We're staying in separate rooms at the same hotel. We are doing a first look but like the idea of the build up to not seeing each other until then. We had to get two rooms anyway for getting ready the next day since we aren't local to the venue. We're both opening up our rooms for our bridal party members the night before as well. We got a larger suite for me since we need space for hair and make up for 7 people and he has a regular room. I'll be checking out of my room when we leave for the venue and staying in the other room with him after the wedding.

FH will be spending the night at home and I will be at my aunts that night. We are not doing a first look so I will see him the night before at our rehearsal and then not again until I walk down the aisle!
