I LOVE this and would totally do something similar if I had that many people I wanted to include. What does an escort do when they reach the next person (do they sit down or just follow you down the aisle from behind)?

View Quoted Comment Thank you! The wedding I was at that did this had the escort sit where they stopped. So we would reserve an aisle seat for them to sit in once they reached the next person ☺️

That’s actually more common than you think — in Jewish weddings, both parents walk down the aisle. I think it’s a Christian tradition for only the father to walk the daughter down the aisle, but truly no one will raise an eyebrow if your mom is with you too. That would be beautiful.

Do whatever makes you happy. For my daughters upcoming wedding her dad is walking her 1/2 way and then I’m walking her the last half. I raised her after divorce and we are best friends and this was important to her.

Go for it!! Both parents are important, and as others have said, there are many cultures where it's common. As I say to pretty much everybody, it's YOUR wedding!

In my first wedding, I had my uncle whom raised me but I believe (not in stone yet) I will have my uncle and my biological dad both doing it this time. I'm just fighting the thought of how my adopted father will feel.

Mine are! I know dad is traditional, but I couldn't imagine having one without the other. They BOTH got me where I am today.

This is what my mom tells me when i'm debating on something for my wedding. close your eyes picture getting ready to walk down the isle. Who Is/ Are with you. if you imagined both parent then go with both parents. its your soon to be hubby and your big day so what ever you two want
