The Wife Chop

JulyBride, on August 1, 2010 at 4:14 PM Posted in Planning 0 51

I always said I wouldn't cut my hair after the wedding, because it took so long to grow it out. So, I waited until after our anniversary! Actually, it was just time to get it cut, and I feel so much better now that I did. It was way down past my shoulders, now it is right at them. So, who else jumped on the "Wife Chop" boat?

    This was before:

And my avie is current. I'm thinking I'm going to keep it shorter for a while. So much easier to manage.

I haven't yet, but we leave on our honeymoon a week after the wedding and I want shorter hair on the honeymoon. I had my hair cut to where it was shorter in the back and got longer as it went to the front and I loved it and FS loved it. It has grown out now, but I don't want to get it cut again since I don't know how I want my hair for the wedding. LOL FS wishes I would cut it now, but I told him that as soon as the wedding is over, I will cut it again, so that it is nice and fresh for the honeymoon lol.

I love your name for it! Hehe...

I haven't jumped on it yet. At the moment, I'm still enjoying my long hair and I know he loves it. Right now it is a few inches below my shoulders. That's the longest its been in years. But I know it won't last for very long... its only a matter of time before I get sick of it. I'll likely want to chop it when I get pregnant and find myself in that looking-fat-instead-of-pregnant stage... a hair chop around then might feel good!

I have short, curly, hair. I have tried growing it but being in the military and wearing it up all the time just damages it too bad so I keep it short. I wear a fake hair piece from time to time just so I can enjoy the look of long hair sometimes. Smiley smile

Me! yesterday I had it cut to my shoulders and it's now reddish blonde (rather than the very light blonde it was). My hair is way to thin to wear it passed my shoulders and i only grew it out for my wedding hair. looked great on the day, but everday it looked stringy and shit.

Rick loves it (it was this length when he met me) and said I've never looked prettier..awww.

I have very long hair and will cut mine after the wedding so that it is still long, but not very long. I'm going to donate it to Pantene Beautiful Lengths.

My mom has thin hair but mine is relatively thick and it tangles so badly. I always had to wear it up and then it was super heavy. it just has so much more body and volume when it's short.

I think I'll keep mine long because it took so long to grow out and I think I look better with it long anyway but who knows for how long, they say older women should have their hair shorter instead of longer, I forget for what reason, and I'll be 41 soon!

I don't cut my hair for religious reasons, but what you did was very cute indeed. It compliments you very well.

Your hair is super cute lynley! i am going blonde before the wedding and am kinda scared haha. im pretty light right now, but never been completly blonde. it will be professionally done instead of those home kits. we will see!!! im keeping it long for now tho! i want to wait until i loose a little weight, esp around my face area before cutting it short.
