Theme Park Weddings

Desiree, on October 9, 2019 at 6:42 PM Posted in Community Conversations 0 5

Hi guys! I am a March 2020 bride, only 5 months left. I cannot believe how quickly the planning process is flying by. I'm already dreading it being over, I have loved this so much. Smiley heart Anyways, I am getting married at a theme park hotel, Hard Rock Orlando which is on property at Universal Orlando Florida! I am SO excited, and one of the reasons we chose this resort is our love for UO and all theme parks in Florida. (YAY destination wedding, too!)

I just wanted to hear about any fellow theme park brides, any Universal or Disney weddings being planned out there? How has it been going for you guys, do you love your wedding planners included, how has the package experience been? Tell me all about it! And, any brides considering it, do you have questions? Smiley heart I just love the experience. Let's all share!

I wanted to do a Disney wedding (were Florida residents but also have a special place in our hearts for Disney always 💙). Unfortunately, we went against that idea because it would cost too much for the amount of guests we would have attending. So instead we are incorporating Disney touches (being very subtle so it doesn’t scream Disney lol), and then him and I are sneaking away to Disney for a few days after the wedding ☺️ That’s the plan anyway.

    Hey Desiree!

A theme park wedding sounds amazing! This may be a silly question or obvious, but do you get access to the park with your package? That would be so cool!

Are you planning on having your honeymoon there also?

Not silly at all! So theme park access, no. You'd still need to purchase a ticket. However, you do get exclusive benefits such as Express Passes & early access, so you're skipping all of the regular likes like a VIP. So my guests and I can hit the theme park in style!

We are doing a mini stay-cation there. It'll only be for 2 nights or so, as of right now. I'm trying to also hit Disney on the way out too. It'll be just one week full of magic. Smiley heart

Very true! Disney was super expensive when I priced them out as well. Overall, wasn't my style too - Little too chic, and fancy looking. I'm a bit more of a hippie/boho bride. But the honeymoon package there is fabulous, from what I've heard. Smiley smile

Were hoping to have annual passes again by that time so we can get a cheaper rate. I’ll have to check into honeymoon packages. We were only thinking like 3 or 4 days. Thank you for the tip!
