I went to a black tie wedding where the groom is a sneaker collector, so he and all the groomsmen/ring bearers wore them with tuxes (photo below). People loved it.



So I think it's a cool idea, but you can only enforce it with your wedding party. Seeing "Chucks & Tux" as the dress code might confuse your guests, so don't expect them to do it and don't worry if they don't!

We are doing a theme wedding, because we're not cookie cutter 😁 My only advice would be to prepare for opinions and a little extra work. When the people who are helping you can't see or understand your vision, you will end up taking on more. Also, I had no idea how hard it would be to decorate and coordinate that vision into reality.
