Yes! This all day! Put a vintage tea party hat, purse around the arm, put a dress on it. Either that or light the friggin thing on fire and tell the owner it was an accident.

You are never going to make him Paddington Bear, or Pooh. So give up, and do what every precious Victorian home did about the 3 heads with antlers and 2 snarling ones with claws, usually on the front parlor, library, and dining room walls ... ignore it. Act like it came with the walls and floor. Gracious homes all over the US, Canada, and Europe have them on the walls. The White House used to, and everybody had their black tie parties and State Dinners just fine. No one will think you brought it with you. Name him, or learn the name they have for Teddie or Earnie or Whatever, and roll your eyes and snicker and get it out of your system . It won't ruin anything unless you try to put a tablecloth on it.

Wow, he’s not cute. I bet that was not a fun surprise. If they can’t/won’t move him. I agree with PP idea. Put a tea hat on him. Maybe give him a tea cup. The honey bar idea is super cute and with jars and containers from dollar tree wouldn’t be too expensive.
He could be holding a sign tea this way or something.

We had one of these in my home, though without teeth, and we dressed him up for the holidays and had him hold a newspaper on regular days. We loved him.

The honey idea is so great.

My very first thought was "put a hat on him," so I'm really glad to see others said that.

But honestly, if your theme is vintage tea party... a lot of old homes had taxidermy. Large moose heads and all that. In some circles it was a sign of being well-off, because the gentleman of the house could afford to go hunting for sport. So it really isn't that out of place.

I understand your shock at finding a massive preserved ursine mammal suddenly in your venue, but I don't think anyone will really notice. Or if they do, they will think, huh, just a quirky part of the venue.

That's what I've decided to do...someone recommended putting honey near him. My son's gf dad is a bee keeper and he makes honey, so we will be giving out jars of honey as flavors

Yes!!!! Definitely put the jars of honey in front of him!

I agree; if you can get a hat or something on him, that'd be adorable!

I totally agree with this and am SO glad you're going to do honey as your favour! It's so cute!

I also think it's both wild and hilarious (to an outsider of course, I can completely understand your dismay!) that the owner decided to do this!

I would ask to decorate him! A cute hat and a tea cup or honey pot.
