They opened my state to 100%

Texas is dropping their mask mandate and opening restaurants and event halls up to 100% capacity starting Wednesday next week. So for any brides in my area who have not heard this news yet... i wanted to let everyone know so you can plan accordingly.

Hey there- pharmacologist here! Please be careful with guests who may not be vaccinated. I’m happy to hear that you are but you can still GET COVID with the vaccine and, while you likely won’t get very sick, you can spread to others who are unvaccinated and get them very sick. For some reason this isn’t being communicated during vaccination so had to drop it here.

Good ‘ol Texas! 😆 We visited our good friends in San Antonio last month and the differences were eye-opener and somewhat shocking. But, hey, life is different from state to state. Congrats and best wishes with 100% opening. Hope it all works out and fingers crossed that things don’t backfire the way it did here in Cali a few months ago.

Awesome!!! Our venue has a max capacity of 175 which they reduced from 225. Our guest list is around 90 so it’s still way under the max!

Same exact thought here. I’d rather have the restrictions.

If you’re not having your wedding in the few weeks after the state opens back up, it’s highly likely that precautions will just be reinstated after another spike in cases due to holding large events, allowing indoor activities at 100% capacity, and not mandating masks. which means those slightly later events will likely be affected. It all just seems very short-sighted. Not even 10% of the population is fully vaccinated! Why can’t we as a population just wait a few more months until mostly everyone is vaccinated? I just don’t understand... it’s just depressing dressing on top of the already depressing salad of a pandemic.
