I realized today after looking at few ladies who have found their dress (congrats to those who have btw ), I took my dress out today for the first time in months. I just remembered that maybe a few or a couple of months ago I did a post about altering the neckline on my dress to a sweetheart...

I realized today after looking at few ladies who have found their dress (congrats to those who have btw Smiley laugh), I took my dress out today for the first time in months. I just remembered that maybe a few or a couple of months ago I did a post about altering the neckline on my dress to a sweetheart neckline, and it hit me today I never took any pictures of what it would look like with a sweetheart neckline. So here are the pictures. Which way do you ladies think it looks better? Keep it the way it is or alter it to a sweetheart neckline? THanks ladies! And excuse the fact I have on no makeup and look horrible lol.

1st pic- Sweetheart neckline

2nd pic- how it is now

3rd pic- close up of the beading

When I asked about having my dress changed to sweetheart at Davids bridal they said it's very simple and not expensive and I have tons of beading too. Said it's just a matter of pinning it down and sewing it

Congratulations on your upcoming wedding. As a local seamstress I have a lot of brides that have concerns about changing to a sweetheart neckliine. The 1st concern is how the beading will look around the altered area.

The second is usually the price. D bridal can charge over $100 to add a sweetheart neck line especially if their are extensive applications, beadwork and rhinestones or swarovski crystals on the wedding gown.

I highly recommend before accepting any quote at a bridal shop or retail wedding chain store, that a bride get a quote from a local independent seamstress.

A local seamstress should have numerous reviews online and references available upon request that demonstrate skill level and the total satisfaction of her customers.

I love helping brides attain the picture perfect fit in their wedding dress for their big day... Good luck and AZ brides plz let me know if I can help Smiley smile

I can't believe I stumbled upon this... This is my exact dress and I was searching on if I could alter a straight neckline to a sweet heart. How ironic! Smiley smile It looks amazing as a sweet heart neckline.. I am wondering if you have any pics of it after the alterations? I'd love to see them Smiley smile Now I know for sure I want mine altered!!!!
