This is so Hard: Fiancè might not love my dress

THIS IS A LONG ONE LOL...Sooooo I'm the bride that has done so much research on what I want exactly in a dress. I'm talking walk in the store like a bad ass like "I like this type of silhouette, with crepe or tulle material, I like a deep V-neck with straps, no ball gowns and no fancy lace" like I'm prepared! Had a whole spreadsheet lol. I get to the store and fall in love with a dress that is COMPLETELY OPPOSITE of what I asked for but that's ok because I was open to trying others. I never wanted a mermaid because I really want to dance. I have always known that I did want a clean, sleek, mordern SIMPLE dress. That's me, that's my style! Long story short...my family DOESN'T LIKE THE DRESS...they think it's not enough and doesn't have that wow factor 😔 They're accepting of it but I know they wish I wanted more from a dress. My mom is very supportive of me now that she understands what I like but it was tough.

Butttttt I'm not winning over anybody and my fiance is included in the anybody. I asked what type of dress he might like to see me in and he straight said "something that's in between" lol we're both simple people but he wants us to look like celebrities on our special day and I totally agree. Then he goes "nothing plain, I mean who wants a plain dress right" 🤦🏾‍♀️🤦🏾‍♀️🤦🏾‍♀️😫🤪😟😬😢🥴 MEEEEEE I do I dooooo...I almost died lol. I just laughed right along like I know right LOL! Now I don't know if I should get it. My man has to love it right? I know he'll love me in anything but still I want him to have the look like OHHHH YEAHHHHH! I know it's what I want BUT I want people to at least say OMG she looks stunning! So now I'm trying all these other dresses and I can't decide. Should I step out my comfort zone? I need guidance guys...What are your thoughts?

The dress is GORGEOUS and it looks amazing on you. The veil is a great piece of embellishment. You can add to it with a gorgeous necklace and headpiece to make it pop... But if you love it, that's all that matters. Your FH is going to love you in it.

Most dress shops will customize a dress for you. Ask if the designer allows customization. You could keep the design and just ask for a layer of shimmer fabric. It'll a bit of sparkle without changing the overall look.

I think you look absolutely stunning!! The dress is so flattering on you. I also don’t think it’s that plain with the belt and the bottom part. If you do think you want to add something to it you could go for more of a statement veil or a really cool hair piece! But I think you look perfect.

I think it suits you wonderfully! You can always go with a nice sparkly veil if you want to add just a touch of glam to it; my dress has a very plain train and I'm doing a veil with scattered rhinestones to make it pop just that tiny bit more.

Also, my mom doesnt like my dress because she feels it's too revealing (I have a large chest so almost everything is 'too revealing') but she's letting it grow on her because she knows that I love it and that me feeling beautiful on my wedding day is more important than our differing ideas on how covered I should be. I feel like your family should be the same; they might not like it for them, but it isn't about them, it's about what makes you feel like a princess.

I just love it! You look amazing! At the end of the day when you come out from behind the scenes you can be in a Rock Suit with make-up on and his heart would be happy because he is marrying his bride. It's what you think you look good in and that's it and that's all. Enjoy your wedding dress the one YOU want.

My mom didn't like my dress either but who cares, I look so beautiful...

From these pictures you look STUNNING!!! Your soon to be husband will LOVE what ever you are wearing. I understand the part about your family & i think this is why no one (not even my mother) has seen my dress yet. I decided to step away from all opinions & go with how I feel & look. no one knows your style better than you Besides Once you're all dolled up I'm sure everyone will love it.

If you're worried about him liking the dress, you should have said something when he asked who wants a plain dress. Frankly, you look FABULOUS! I know you want him to "cry" when he sees you and he will, in whatever you put on! When you put that dress on the day of your wedding and walk down that aisle to the man you will call husband, he will see what a treasure he is receiving and thank God that you will be called his WIFE! Come on girl! Get That Dress!!!

This is spot on!!! I too was looking for that perfect boho dress! With all those opinions, I even had to blur my family out of the pictures while I tried on the dress because their reactions weren't the greatest. It was the only way for me to focus on myself in that dress and stick with that feeling that I had when I first tried it on. It definitely felt right when I tried it on. Second guessing yourself is sooooo real! Thank you for your kind words and I know your dress is super awesome!

😂😂😂 I love it, "fine,done". I too feel my fiance is the same way. He's very calm and it takes a lot for him to show that he's upset or uncomfortable. Its really hard to get him there. Like I've never even seen him cry in all 9 years we've been together lol. He already told me that he feels he'll cry that day though!!! We'll see lol!
