This or that? (jewelry vs Shoes)

Cece, on October 7, 2021 at 11:46 AM Posted in Community Conversations 0 14

I love how different everyone's wedding visions and priorities are here on Wedding Wire, so I thought it'd be fun to create a series of polls to see what everyone values the most for their special days!

Which is more important to you on your wedding day... your jewelry or your shoes?

Click the link below to cast your vote on the next poll:

Edit: apparently WW puts a cap on the number of posts you can make in a day. So the rest of the poll questions will follow later!

    Shoes.

Shoes determine whether or not you are comfortable and whether or not your feet are killing you at the end of the night.

I wish I'd skipped jewelry altogether on my wedding day. I hate the way it looked in photos years later.

Probably shoes. I want to be as comfortable as possible. I don't care much about jewelry.

Shoes! But mostly because I love shoes and everyone knows wedges are my go-to style 😆
I didn’t want to overdo jewelry and regret it later, so it is pretty basic and not exciting.

This one's almost a tie for me. I personally don't really care what my shoes will specifically look like since they'll be hidden under my dress (I'd like to pick out something pretty, but I'm not too particular), though I definitely want them to be comfortable!! Especially since I'll be wearing them all day. I have more of an interest in what my jewelry looks like, since it'll be more visible in photos, but not sure what I care about more: my jewelry pairing with my dress or the comfort of my shoes.

This is a hard one, because visually jewelry is more important to me. However, my shoes have to be comfortable or I will be miserable! So I guess if I had to choose one, shoes would be the winner.

Visually, jewelry. But only because my dress will completely cover my shoes.

But on a comfort level, shoes! Because if my feet aren't comfortable it's going to show. I'm wearing moccasins though, so pretty sure I'll be comfy!

I’d say comfy shoes is number 1. As for jewelry, just wearing my niece’s bracelet she gave me and a sister bracelet. Drop pearl earrings, mother’s pearl necklace.

I'd say hair is most important. Most of the time you don't see the shoes in wedding. I know I personally never look at a brides shoes. Jewelry unless it really stand out I don't usually pay attention to

That is tough but I would have to pick shoes. Even though no one will see them, they have to be comfortable. Also, while the height of your shoes is irrelevant, it will make or break whether you trip over your dress or not if it is not altered for whatever height you will be wearing at the reception.

Jewelry is personal preference and often less is more.

One hundo percent shoes! But not for the same reasons as everyone else seems to have chosen.

I'm only really wearing earrings and hair pins I made myself, and other than the necklace I already own, the rest of the jewellery I've bought is just nice costume stuff, and so it's unlikely I'll wear it again, even though I love it and it's really pretty.

The shoes on the other hand... I was wearing Louboutins when I first met my fiance, and I really wanted to be wearing a pair on our wedding day, so these were actually the very first wedding thing I tackled after we got engaged. To me the shoes were very sentimental and important, whereas the jewellery is just extra bling - there were hundreds of earrings I could have been happy with, but only one brand of shoes I was ever going to wear.

I should add that I do have a pair of flats to change into when they inevitably cripple me, so I did consider comfort, but it was waaaay down on the list, haha.

    Shoes!

which is ironic because you barely saw my shoes ever haha but the fact that you're going to be in those shoes for the day makes those important out of comfort

Shoes for comfort! You’re going to be on your feet most of the day.

Shoes, for sure. I love the jewelry that I had, but it was definitely costume jewelry. I wanted to make sure I wasn't going to fall on my face when I walked down the aisle.
