He said it first! Total word vomit. 😂 We had been together maybe 3 weeks and he was dropping me off at the airport for a weekend trip. He parked and walked with me to security which was super sweet (my ex husband wouldn't even drive me to the airport to drop me off)


We were saying goodbye before I went through security and he said "have a great trip, I love you" and I just stared at him. And he stared at me. And then he RAN. Keep in mind that we're in our mid-30s. He ran like hell hahaha. I texted him right after I got through security and everything was fine. I didn't say it back for maybe 6 weeks or so.

I said it first! It was July 2013. We'd been dating for about five months. We were laying in bed on a Saturday morning, just chatting about whatever. Things got quiet, and we were just looking at each other. Just like that, I said it! He didn't say it right back right away, but after we talked about it a little more, and I told him I wasn't taking it back, he said it.

My fiance and I also didn't start dating right away when we first met, so we had gotten to know each other pretty well in those 5-6 months, though once we started officially dating, I think it was around 1-2 months when we started saying "I love you".

My husband to be said it first. We worked together for a while but we actually didn’t start talking to each other until a mutual friend of ours actually introduced us to each other. Long story short we eventually started talking outside of work and one day I had finished my shirt early and decided to sit with him for a while until it was time for his pick up to start (FedEx) and he asked how would I feel if his feelings for me changed. Me being the overthinking dramatic I am assumed he was gonna say he didn’t want it to go any further but I told back my tears and just let him continue (I planned on crying when he was nowhere in sight lol) but then he said he loves me and I was shocked! Literally my entire mood, vibe, aura or whatever it would be called changed. I couldn’t stop smiling at the point on. He started blushing it was cute to me lol. But so yes, he definitely said it first. ❤️

He actually wrote it first! We weren’t dating just yet but we were more than friends. He wrote me a letter for Valentine’s Day telling me all the ways he loved me and why 😍 it took me a while because while I did love him, I didn’t want to rush into things. But maybe a week or so later I told him “I love you too!”
