There have been a few hot topics recently with my friends and I'm dying to know ya'll's opinions on them!

1. I have no desire in my heart to ask my fiancé about his "body count". I think that what he did before me isn't really my business. Some of my friends have said that they have gotten into serious fights with their S.O over this body count list from years prior to them even meeting. I think this is so strange and totally an invasion of privacy, and kind of immature to ask to begin with. Is this a normal discussion to have with your S.O?

2. A few friends have said that their husbands or boyfriends don't allow them to wear anything sexy. For example, my bachelorette is next weekend and most of us have ordered super cute and fun outfits - some are body con dresses or bodysuits, and workout sets for one of the activities we are doing. One of my bridesmaids was appalled and said her husband would never let her dress that way. My fiancé helped me pick out my outfits and loved them when I tried them on for him when they came in - he hyped me up and thought I looked great. For reference, I'm wearing white pants with a lace bodysuit, a very chic mini dress, and a workout set with leggings and a sports bra. I think my FH is extremely attractive and want him to look his best, and he feels the same way.

I don't feel like I need to be told what to wear. I consider myself a pretty good judge of what's an appropriate way to present myself without disrespecting myself or my relationship. I definitely submit to and serve my FH in likely every way, but I just feel like this would be a lot.

What are ya'll's thoughts on this?!

    1. Definitely agree! FH knows everything about mine and I know everything about his, none of it was awkward to talk about at all. Did we need to talk about them as much as we did? No, but it definitely helped us better understand each other's perspectives on relationships back in our earlier days. I'm thankful he felt safe enough to talk about her with me though, since she really did not treat him with the love he deserves, and knowing that really motivated me to learn more about his needs and what makes him happy and what doesn't.

    1. FH and I have talked about our relationships before. We've both been able to really embrace our personalities since dating. He's been able to dive into his nerdier intrests that previous S.O.s shamed him for. Once in a while we'll do something and I'll ask if he's ever done something similar (he was engaged previously so I like to ask about those things to get his opinion), but it's never really in a bad way. We keep an open line of communication, and occasionally curiosity wins out and we ask weird questions of each other.

    2. I have relatively low self esteem, and it's gotten worse since covid started and I gained a decent amount of weight, but there's never been anything he's told me I couldn't wear, and honestly if he tried it would lead to a very serious conversation to my right to wear and be who I want. However, I do wear things that I think would be pleasing, because it makes me happy to make him happy. If it really made him uncomfortable we would talk about why and figure out where to move forward from there.

#1) we both agreed that what happened before we met/started dating is irrelevant and we both got tested/screened

#2) If my (.)(.) and ASSets arenʻt hanging out when Iʻm off the clock then Iʻm probably not wearing it and he doesnʻt care unless ofc Iʻm out jogging/walking at night, then I probs would opt for reflective/safety gear
