Tie Dye Water balloon fight?

Cassandra, on May 20, 2013 at 10:27 PM Posted in Do It Yourself 0 6

Hey guys,

The bachelor/bachelorette parties are coming up and I have this idea of doing a water balloon fight with dye in the ballons so that we can create t-shirts. It will be groomsmen Vs Bridesmaids and the shirts can be worn for the rehearsal dinner.

My question is, has anyone done this? What kind of dye can I use? Any advice?

Thank you!

It would be more of a splatter than tie dye. You tie dye by folding the shirt a certain way and dying it in a certain pattern. It would still look really cool I bet! Good luck getting the GM to wear them, but I bet it would be a fun experience even if they didn't Smiley smile Walmart has tie dye in their fabric section, but be careful just buying any tie dye, some just don't turn out good.

I like the idea. I tie dye a shirt once but I don't remember what brand we used. FYI: walmart's carft section has t-shirts!!! the are really cheap, I think they're $3.27 each.

Sounds fun ... one word of caution from someone who's been there, done that. Many Tie dyes can dye hair and skin and aren't necessarily easily removed. Be sure to check the directions/cautions on the dyes carefully or you may end up with a multi-color bridal party.

Was thinking about doing this for my wedding and was wondering if you’d actually done it and how it turned out
