Tieks... anyone worn them?

Chrysta, on February 27, 2020 at 5:26 PM Posted in Wedding Attire 0 15
I was wondering if any of you ladies wore Tieks ballet flats for your wedding (or for any occasion really)? Due to hip surgery, I can only wear flat shoes. I also have very high arches and need lots of arch support. I have seen people raving on about how comfortable Tieks are, but I have never seen any sort of review on the arch support. Any of you ladies who have owned these shoes – do they provide good arch support? Are they really as comfortable as everyone says? Worth the steep price tag?

I love the pair that I wear for special occasions. I bought another pair for our wedding in October!! Like I said in a prior post, I'd say I have relatively flat feet, but feel very comfortable and supported. They are very flexible and form to your feet. I think they are 100% worth the price!

No, but I need to look into a pair of supportive flats for later in the reception. I have 2.5" heels for the ceremony and the beginning of the reception, but I'm sure I'll be ready to take them off before too long. I just can't do heels for any length of time anymore due to plantar fascitis and a chronic ankle issue.

I love Tieks and find them to be really comfortable. They don't provide any arch support however, so they might not work for you. They have a good return policy so you could order them and wear them inside to see how they feel. You can return them as long as you don't wear them outside.

Tieks are not the shoe for you if you're looking for arch support.

I have a well-worn pair that's 3 years old, and as much as I love the look of them, I think they're over-hyped and overpriced.

My arches are extremely high and never touch any part of the shoe - you can see the imprint of where my foot sits on the sole, and there's pristine, untouched material where my arch is, lol.

I also normally wear a half-size, which they don't offer, so I had to wear mine in a little bit more; it took a few months for them to really get broken in.

They're relatively comfortable (ignoring the arch support issue), but I've had flats that I bought for $30 that were ten times as comfortable as my Tieks.

Tieks have no arch support. You'd be better finding a pair of sckether's or even lace or glittery Tom's.

Yikes. Yeah, these definitely do not sound like the shoe for me. Thank you so much for the info! Do you have any suggestions on flats that have given you good arch support?

I did think about Skechers! I wore them all the time while working in the health industry, and they were always super comfortable! I haven’t been able to find any that I could wear with my dress though 😕 I will keep an eye out on them though – maybe they will come up with a semi-dressy flat in the spring/summer!

Have you ever tried Vionic shoes? They're made with lots of support and the ones I've tried have been very comfortable. If you want something casual Allbirds are really comfortable as well.

I just saw that Tom's has a cute flat wedding shoe with wedding decorations on it.
