Tight Budget Brides (rehearsal dinner)

So we are going to do a rehearsal dinner but we can't afford the fancy restaurants. We are looking into more pizza type of dinner. Something like this is something we could better afford. Anyone else doing a pizza type of dinner for the rehearsal?

We are renting a house from “homeaway” for out of town bridal party. And we plan on ordering pizza and getting everyone together to meet each other the night before the wedding. Idk how much rehearsing we will be doing lol

We are doing a simple rehearsal dinner at the venue the night before and I was thinking pizzas and breadsticks would surfice since its a small bp and we are laid back people.

Pizza and such sounds great, and it can be a fun, relaxed event. Might be good to clue in the bridal party on what to expect, so they don't over-dress?

    We did.

Our entire wedding party and guest list was OOT, so everyone stayed at the same hotel tmsnd arrived the night before the wedding. So the WP did the rehearsal and then we all went back to hotel

Our entire wedding party and guest list was OOT, so everyone stayed at the same hotel tmsnd arrived the night before the wedding. So the WP did the rehearsal and then we all went back to hotel where we ordered like a dozen pizzas and drinks and spent the evening playing cards against humanity snd board games with the entire wedding guests list. It was a great time.

If we were going to host one, it was 100% going to be pizza. But we decided against having one.

We're doing pizza because honestly we love pizza! But with all the stress I'm sure it will be nice to just go to a pizza place and relax. That's how me and my family feel anyway

That's an idea I played with myself! It sounds like a great time and I know people in our BP would love it.

We didn't but it's totally fine to do that! You also don't need to have a rehearsal dinner at all if you skip having a rehearsal. Rehearsals generally aren't even necessary, we didn't do one until the day of the wedding after our first look, and it was all of 5 minutes.

We’re also doing Pizza. It’s at a local pizza place that everyone in the wedding party already loves. So, they’ll all be pleased.

We didn't have a rehearsal before the day of the wedding, but hosted a dinner for my out of town family at a pizza place. We had 35 guests and spent $600 (including tip) with unlimited pizza, pasta, salad, sodas, and drinks that people ordered. It worked out really well for us and we had enough leftover for most of them to have lunch the next day. We originally wanted to have everyone over and do a BBQ, but at the last minute, we decided that we didn't want to have to do anything but show up.

Prior to my mother offering to host, I wanted to do pizza and beer. So I see nothing wrong with it.
