Tight Budget Brides (rehearsal dinner)

So we are going to do a rehearsal dinner but we can't afford the fancy restaurants. We are looking into more pizza type of dinner. Something like this is something we could better afford. Anyone else doing a pizza type of dinner for the rehearsal?

We are doing a rehearsal at the church the night before, and that’s where we are having the reception so we will Be decorating too. We’re going to order pizza and I’m surprising my FH with a grooms cake!

We can afford something more fancy for the rehearsal dinner (my venue charges 55 dollars pp for their "barbecue" rehearsal lol) but we decided we're just going to get a big table at Buffalo Wild Wings after the rehearsal instead (rehearsal will only be about 12 people). Our wedding menu is going to be more on the upscale end and we decided our bridal party might like to indulge in some low-key food beforehand. It's more our style Smiley smile

We were thinking of doing pizza! We’re not having bridal parties but we are having a rehearsal with our celebrant the night before. There are going to be others who are coming for 2 nights, so we wanted to include everyone who is there already for a welcome type event...but on a budget! So I think we will do a very causal pizza and salad type thing in the cabin my parents are renting on site because there is a porch. I do t think there is anything wrong with casual! Weddings are so expensive and we figured doing a second event the night before where we could potentially be providing 20-25 people alcohol by the glass is just not reasonable! Plus, I think everyone will appreciate laid back before a crazy long wedding day!

Yes we are! We weren't even going to do a rehearsal but it's pretty customary for the preacher to want to walk through it the day before and we thought it would be nice to get the family together (like 15 People max) so we are just ordering some pizzas Smiley smile

We did Mexican food! It was relaxed and fun. The restaurant let me choose certain items to put on a personalized menu. So people got to choose but we had some control over how much we spent. It doesn’t need to be fancy. We didn’t want to basically have two receptions. We wanted a completely different feel.

Instead of a rehearsal, the guys are going out to a meadery and I'm inviting anyone who wants to to hang out at the hotel and get doordash.
