Timeline?

AJ, on July 30, 2021 at 9:51 AM Posted in Planning 0 3

Having an afternoon wedding on a Sunday and under 80 guests. I'm trying to work on a timeline - this is what I have so far.

8-8:30 - Arrive at venue

9am - 1pm hair and makeup for 5 adults, hair for 3 flower girls ages 9, 7 and 5

11 or 12 - florist arrive (only florals are wedding arch, head table and 9-10 centerpieces)

1pm - Photographer arrives

2pm - invite time

2:15 - ceremony start time

2:30 - start cocktail hour (with appetizers)

2:30 - 3:30 pictures

4pm dinner

- after dinner until whenever there will be outdoor games and a fire pit, donut sundae bar and coffee bar with apple cider and hot chocolate

I'm not thinking people are going to stay particularly long because its on a Sunday. Do you think I could squeeze pictures in between the end of hair and makeup (might not take the entire 4 hours) and the start of the ceremony. or just do all our pics during cocktail hour? My FH doesn't really want to do a first look, and I don't either. Just completely lost here.

If you want to get some bridal party pictures done beforehand I think you might be able to fit that in! Get some with you and the BMs and him with the GM. Your hair/makeup people would have a better idea of how long it would take. If you have multiple working at once I'm sure you could get it all done in time.

Also, I LOVE the idea of the fire pit and sundae bar!

Thanks Sarah! We are only having one person each for our bridal party so pics shouldn't take too long! I get my hair/makeup artist for 4 hours and I know nobody wants anything super complicated, also we only get one hair and makeup artist each so I'm hoping 5 people and 3 kids can get done in 4 hours

It sounds like your timeline is pretty good with enough buffer, then. If you want to talk to your hair/makeup artist fir their opinion, it wouldn't be a bad idea. But I think you'll be good!
