Timing for Bride Walkout Ceremony

Emily, on October 29, 2023 at 8:29 AM Posted in Wedding Ceremony 2 4

Hi! This has been keeping me up at night and I cannot seem to find an answer on the web. Our ceremony does not include a bridal party, which means it will only be two songs. One for my fiance and his parents, then it will switch to my song, as the bride. We are getting married indoors in December at a venue that does not have traditional "doors" that would be opened to signal its my time to walk down the aisle.

Who cues the bride to walk? I obviously won't be able to see when my fiance's parents are completed with the aisle and seated, from the other room I will be coming out from. How do I know when to walk? Who typically helps with this? Yes, the DJ will fade out the fiance's song and switch to mine, but if I waited until I heard my song to first walk out- the timing would be too late by the time I reached the back part of the aisle.

Could someone kindly explain this to me? It is worrying me! Thanks in advance!

Typically this is handled by the wedding coordinator.

Like Cece said, the wedding or venue coordinator usually cues the bride to walk.

If there is no vendor/day-of coordinator, I would ask a close friend to stand in the back of the room. They can then cue you to start the walk.
