Tinder love

We didn't meet online but we met in a bar (I always swore I'd never date anyone I met in a bar) but it's part of our story so even though I have some judgemental family members, I decided to embrace it. He's my best friend and the love of my life. It feels wrong to be ashamed of what brought him into my life. It's the first paragraph of our story on our wedding website lol

He actually thought I was cat fishing him 😂 but we did it and neither of us are catfishes. I think talking online for so long really made us comfortable with each other cause when we first met I knew he was the one. I told my dad first before my mom and he was cool with it. He actually said “how did you score a guy like that? If you guys break up it’s definitely your fault.” Everything is wonderful now. My FOH and I met on Plenty of Fish, and we have always been open about that. Dating is awkward. Especially after college. Online dating sites are efficient and, well, less awkward. We have a beautiful story over the past (almost) 6 years, and I'm in love with all the details.

We met on a website for single parents lol. I was pregnant at the time (but I lost my child to complications) and he still wanted to date me even at 3.5 months pregnant. It's been 4 years since and we are each others best friends. Cant imagine being with anyone else. We both won the lottery on this one. My fiance told me "it's the best $40 he's ever spent" lol. We are both honest about it because we think it's cute.

FH and I did too! Our families all know the truth, and they don't care. They know the type of people we are and knew that we weren't looking for mindless hookups. Actually, our church did a study and found that more young couples in committed relationships (in our congregation) met on Tinder than any other dating "app."

Careful...you have already started to dig a hole. If anyone in your life (siblings, friends) knows that you met on Tinder, it WILL eventually come back to your parents and others you’ve worked hard to hide the info from. If you are mature enough to get married, then you need to be mature enough to tell those closest to you how you met your beloved.

View Quoted Comment Same! We met on Tinder. We sat down and said what will we tell our families. He wanted the truth and I wanted a story so I made one up. When it actually came up, I told the truth. A couple seconds of awkwardness but that went away almost instantly. There are people in the world who never find what we did and it doesn't matter how it happened. Lying makes things messy.
