Tipping Etiquette?

We've already paid everything in full and are just counting down the days! Are you supposed to tip for vendors or is it just a recommendation?

I think all vendors now have it required at a certain percentage. So they should let you know based on what I’ve seen so far.

IME, tipping is not required unless gratuity is specified on the contract. The general consensus is if they own their own business and don't share the fees, you don't HAVE to tip (photographer, band, etc). You are certainly able to if you feel they went above and beyond. People who don't own the business and are just paid an hourly wage, you should tip (bartenders, waiters, etc). If you have a religious officiant, I think people usually give a "donation" to the parish.

I totally agree!! Definitely make sure to tip all wait staff, bartenders, delivery drivers, and your hair & makeup team.

Beyond that tips are optional but appreciated if vendors do a great job!! This guide is awesome and breaks down tipping etiquette for each wedding service:

Tipping is a thank you for vendors who go above and beyond the call of duty. You don’t reward a vendor who has bad customer service if they are a no show or just do their job with nothing special. It’s also why it’s recommended to wait until after the honeymoon when you are able to objectively assess their performance, which you can’t do at the wedding itself.
