Tipping the band

Unpopular Opinion: Tip those who went above and beyond the call of duty. Wait until after the wedding when you can assess them objectively. Tipping can be anywhere from 10%-20%

I'm actually seeing most advice out there is to give 25-50$ per band member rather than percentages, as you would other services.

I think that could be plenty depending on length of time they are there. A lot of vendors I have found appreciate honest reviews for their work (since that's how they will get more business) over a tip. Not saying they don't appreciate both

We had a 9-piece band and we tipped around 20% (we pre-divided the tips evenly among the musicians). This meant that each musician received a tip of $350. Which is certainly not cheap, but our band was amazing and they fully deserved their 20% tip because they were one of our most important vendors and they did a fantastic job.
