I didn’t know flowers were crazy expensive and I’m not looking to spend nearly $1,000! Maybe $200-300. I’ve seen on the boards some arrangements done themselves, I’m somewhat creative and I’m looking for something simple. I love flowers with a lot of greenery! I didn’t know flowers were crazy expensive and I’m not looking to spend nearly $1,000! Maybe $200-300. I’ve seen on the boards some arrangements done themselves, I’m somewhat creative and I’m looking for something simple. I love flowers with a lot of greenery! Even fake ones are pricey and it looks like bulk flowers would be a bit cheaper and nicer. Questions for those that have done it:

1. How difficult was it?

2. How did you do a trial run? Were you able to purchase a few and practice that wasn’t bulk?

3. How soon did you prepare them before the wedding and store them?

I want to do something like this. Seems simple, lots of green and some flowers.

No problem! Apologies in advance for the long response!!

So, I'm just going to go ahead and post a picture of my break-down with quantities/ flower types instead of typing it all out. I'll also include all my inspo/plans in that comment.

Here's a list of our floral needs:

Wedding Party Arrangements: 1 Bridal Bouquet, 4 Bridesmaids Bouquets, 6 Boutonnieres.

Centerpieces/Sweetheart Table/Cocktail hour/Ceremony/Misc.: We're doing a combination of gold wine bottles and milk bottles. In total we will have 50 bottles, averaging 1 flower and 2-3 sprigs of greenery per bottle.

-Centerpieces: 1 large bottle, 1 medium bottle, 1 small milk bottle. We will also have a square mirror tile and votive candles.

-Sweetheart Table: 2 medium bottles, 2 larger milk bottles

-Cocktail Hour: 1 medium bottle, 1 small milk bottle.

-Ceremony Altar: 2 large bottles, 4 medium bottles, 2 small milk bottles. We will also have assorted pumpkins, lanterns, and candles. These will all be cascading along the steps of our altar.

-Misc./Extra: 5 large bottles to go next to signs, along the bar, or anywhere they may need to be.

Check your local area for publically open wholesalers! Most will sell you flowers at florist prices & they should have stations where you can practice + play with the flowers. We have one locally that even does classes!

Personally I went with a florist but mainly because we are getting married out of state.

Your inspo looks fairly easy & affordable!
