Does anyone have advice on what town to stay in Italy if you want to enjoy the beaches and also hike?

I don't know about the hiking (and it's been *forever* since I've been there) but the beaches in Sorrento are beautiful

Wow! I just looked that up and it says there’s a lot of cliffs near by. Sounds like hiking to me! I love that it’s listed as not a top tourist destination, less crowded

The towns in Cinque Terre are perfect for beaches and hiking 😊🙌 we loved staying in Monterosso because it had the best beach access, but you can train or hike to the other amazing towns as well. We went last August.

I definitely agree that Cinque Terre meets all of your criteria. You will love it! The only thing to keep in mind is many Italians and French take their summer holidays in August and close up their shops/restaurants. It can also be pretty hot and humid.

It was really comfortable because although it was hot in Europe, being by the sea gave natural breezes and kept it really pleasant. 😊
