To Chuppah or Not to Chuppah

We are renting a Chuppah for our ceremony from our venue. The room where the ceremony is being held will be flipped for dinner while we are in another room for cocktail hour. Should we keep the Chuppah up over the sweetheart table during dinner or have them take it down? Pic attached is a ceremony...

@Dragana - the décor is in the picture is not mine.

@Linds and Mrs. Fall Bride - this Chuppah is just material that hangs from the ceiling, no legs, no poles. The venue asked up if we wanted to leave it up or take it down for dinner. It's up to us. No additional cost to leave it up. Where it hangs for the ceremony, is where it will hang for the sweetheart table. Blocking the view was one of my concerns.

@Nancy - It's not a religious ceremony and there's no rabbi. My FH just likes the tradition of the chuppah and breaking the glass. In fact, lots of couples who are not Jewish rent their Chuppah just for the décor as it looks very pretty.

Looks like the consensus is to leave it up!

ETA - this is just for dinner as this venue does dinner in this room and dessert and dancing are in another room.

I'm not real familiar with Jewish tradition, but I always thought the Chuppah signifies the marital home. If this is true, then I definitely think leaving it up and having your first dinner in your new "home" would be incredibly sweet and meaningful. If not, then I would still leave it up because it's really pretty Smiley smile
