To mask or not to mask. 🤔

Are brides & grooms wearing masks for wedding ceremony? Can I see pics? What about the bridesmaids & groomsmen?

My FH & I don’t plan to wear masks at our ceremony. I don’t feel like the bridesmaids should have to wear masks only bc they’re having their makeup done. But we are also having a tiny wedding with parents & 2 close couple friends.

I am not. I would prefer my MH not wear one but if she has to or the officiant or our two guests that is fine. I am not wearing one day of unless I have to and if I had to then I would probably postpone lol.

As of now, anyone attending our 40 guest church ceremony has to wear a mask. I am hoping in 2 months when my wedding is things might change. If not, I have already ordered masks for my girls that match their dresses and I have one for me that is similar to my dress. I will not be changing my date because of a mask requirement as my date has been set for too long and I am very partial to it.

For our ceremony, the congregation will be wearing masks, but the bride, groom, parents and bridal party will not. I just can’t imagine paying all that money for hair and makeup and then covering it with a mask! I also don’t want to have masks on in all of our photos.

I told my mom “sorry but I’m not paying almost $300 for my Hair and makeup for you to only see half of my face!”

😩 agreed. I got so wrapped up in this covid crap that I forgot about makeup. Definitely not paying money just to cover it up

Since I’m getting my hair and makeup done professionally, I don’t plan to wear a mask. My bridesmaids are also getting their hair & makeup done too and I don’t care if they wear a mask or not. We had to cut our wedding down to our 2 bridesmaids/groomsmen & our parents so it will be very very small.

We purchased matching masks for my gown and his suit. We’re preparing for the worst but hoping for the best

Our governor’s current order requires a mask inside all public buildings.
I’m going to get one made from my alterations scraps and am looking into nicer masks for the bridal party. I’m also thinking about making “packets of love” with masks, hand sanitizer, and our flower seeds that we originally bought for favors.

We wore masks (no pictures yet) I had my hair and makeup done and covered half my face anyway. We had masks on for group pictures, but we took a bunch of pictures of just the two of us without masks.

We are wearing masks. We will be without masks for the ceremony, cake cutting and first dances. We will do photos outside so we can be mask free.

I’m with you guys, I don’t plan to cover my makeup on my wedding day. But my mother ordered a custom mask to match my dress lol. So maybe a photo or two to mark this CRAZY ASS YEAR we are all dealing with.
An idea for you all, we are eating alone in the bridal suite then rejoining the reception. Opportunity for alone time and don’t have to worry about being around others eating.

Y'all should wear masks and comply with distancing guidelines. This is why our country is getting worse, projected death toll is doubled what it was in March because people aren't wearing masks and social distancing. Get your makeup done and wear a mask or postpone. The world suffers for selfish decisions. You can always do a photoshoot without masks the day of. I know this post will fall on deaf ears, but I urge you to consider long-term effects of your decisions on people who are going to suffer as a result.

I really wish you hadn’t felt the need to lecture those of us who are choosing not to wear a mask during our wedding ceremony. We all stated that our guests, and in some cases bridal party members, will be wearing them. If our state, venue, etc are giving us the option, then we have the right to make that choice, just as you would. Enough with the “selfish” comments and shaming of brides who are trying to make the best of a very difficult and disappointing planning process. I am following the guidelines being given to me for MY wedding. Also....I had Covid back in May, after following all of the guidelines, staying home, wearing a mask in public and distancing myself from everyone but my fiancé. Yes, I STILL got Covid by doing those things for two straight months. A virus doesn’t stop in its tracks, and I am not going to stop living until there is some kind of cure. Please save your judgments when you really don’t know what every individual on here is personally dealing with.

Not saying that everyone at the wedding will not have on a mask. I was Asking about brides & grooms and how people are dealing with it, etc. IT WILL BE A REQUIREMENT FOR ALL GUESTS , NO MATTER HOW MANY , TO WEAR A MASK. However, Thanks for your input. Smh. I think we all understand the severity of covid.

Thank you. I don’t think she realizes that we are all in different states. We all have different guidelines / restrictions. We , can’t speak for everyone , are trying to get through the biggest day of our lives during a pandemic. This has thrown all of our plans for a loop. We’re just trying to plan a wedding around covid. 🙃

Definitely have to have a few pics with the mask on. Just to remember the fact the we got married during a pandemic. 😂😩 & that’s a good idea (eating alone). But I don’t think I’ll be eating. I waste EVERYTHING that I eat & I don’t want to mess my dress up. Lol. We’ll see
