So I had a vision of super coordinated colors and whatnot for our engagement photo session. The closer it gets, the more I'm over the whole "doing the most" with it lol. I've decided to wear a cute dress (that I found for $10 at Ross...SCORE!!) that FH loves and I'm gonna let him wear what he wants. I figure in every other selfie or picture of us that we have framed we are making memories and our personalities shine through. I'm gonna keep that tradition going I think. I feel like we will feel more free and less stuffy in clothes we would normally wear and just roll with it.

Has anyone else had a super complicated thought process for engagement photos? lol

I think we’ve all put a bit of thinking into our engagement photos. I definitely like those who let their personalities show and are less formal because your wedding photos are always going to be more formal and in clothing you wouldn’t normally wear. And yay for a $10 dress!! Hopefully your fiancé will choose something that matches well!

I hope so...there's that small part of me that wants to look on Amazon to find him a matching shirt lol..but I'm gonna go with the flow (I hope).

Oh yes I think it is totally normal to "over-think" what to wear in the engagement session and how the two of you should dress. I love the idea of the two of you just being you, that's what you both love about each other so why wouldn't that photograph well?!?! Kudos, on the great find at Ross, those are always amazing! Enjoy your engagement session and I'm sure the pictures will be beautiful.

My fiancé and I matched a little bit. I feel like our outfits still very much matched our personalities and our relationship! We both are super goofy and the blue is also one of our wedding colors and so is rose gold so we tried to make sure that was part of our photos!

Super cute!!! Tiffany blue & rose gold were the original colors that we decided on...too funny. But we switched it to a royal blue and canary yellow ... I fell in love with that color palette. You guys look great and the love is definitely captured in these photos!
