To wear a belt or not

CountryBride, on January 12, 2021 at 1:47 PM Posted in Wedding Attire 0 14

Hi beautiful gals

I am starting to look at accessories and my dress has a little sparkle it doesn't really have any beading. just a lot of lace which looks amazing,. I am thinking of adding a belt but was wondering would it look good?

I was pregnant at the time so I have significantly lost weight

I think a belt would look great! Are there any styles of belt in particular you're thinking about?

Oh my bad! I guess the word I was looking for was details or embellishment...I just meant to ask if you like ones with pearls, with rhinestones, with both, etc! I think it would look beautiful!

It wouldn’t hurt to try some on but don’t think I would add one. I feel like adding a belt would make you look boxy since there’s already a lone where the dress changes materials and flairs out.
If you want some Bling, I thing a brooch up top below/between your boobs would look lovely. It almost looks like there is one there but I think it may just be a crease in the dress.

I wouldn’t do a belt with this style. Currently the cut of the dress elongates your body and a belt would just chop that effect.

Agree with this. A belt will not be flattering.

I agree with PP as well. I wouldn't add a belt just because there's already a clear cut where your dress changes material! I love it as is!

After I removed the belt, I felt like I had a whole new dress. For some reason, I feel like it made the dress look even classier without it!

I feel like maybe the glitzy belt they put on me was actually taking away from the beauty of the lace on it's own.

I think it's stunning without a belt. Sometimes less is more, and that is definitely the case with your gown! That flair skirt is breathtaking!
