Toast without servers?

Nancy, on June 26, 2021 at 8:20 AM Posted in Wedding Reception 0 7
If we’re doing a sparkling wine toast and we don’t have servers how do you serve it? Has anyone just put a bottle on each table and had everyone self serve? Have helpers go around a pour into cups?

How are other drinks being served? Maybe just do a normal toast with whatever drink they have.

There is a bar people can go up and get drinks at!

Ask your wedding party to help. Assign them to serve a table or two. Another option would be to ask the bartender to prep the glasses and as guest head towards their seat, have the DJ announce to grab their drink on their way for the toast.

Let guests toast with what they are already drinking or make an announcement to go to the bar. Not your attendants’ job to act as wait staff.

How many guests do you have? If you have a large amount, then they should probably just toast with whatever the guest has in their hand at the time.

Don't put your wedding party to work at your reception.

Just have people toast with what they have. Even when there’s champagne at the table during a toast, I don’t always drink it if I’m not in the mood.

Having said that…..We are having a champagne wall available, that’s going to be stocked with glasses of champagne and if people want it, they will grab it.
We will only have it out towards the end of cocktail hour/ before dinner, then once it’s all gone it’ll get tucked away .Our DJ is going to announce that the champagne wall is open to get ready for the wedding party’s arrival.
