About a year before I was supposed to be married to my ex, I began having suspicions of him cheating. But I couldn't believe that ex would be that kind of man. Well, 3 months before our wedding date, I caught him in the act.

These were the most painful days of my life.

So I totally feel for you OP.

But I want to encourage you... Because my story didn't end there, and neither does yours.

Less than a year later I met the wonderful man that I am engaged to now. I'm honestly thankful that ex cheated on me. FH is so much more than I ever thought I deserved for myself.

I know it's so hard to think that this is a good thing, right now, but I promise things will get better.

My advice is:

Cry when you need to. Don't hold it in, it makes things worse.

Surround yourself with positive, wise, council. Allow people to speak what is true to you.

Remember, he's the one who should be embarrassed. I was so ashamed of myself for picking someone like him, and I had so many issues because of this.

When you're ready- play the field. My self esteem was garbage. The best thing I did for myself was go on dates. I did the online dating thing just for the confidence boost, and it worked so well. Plus, that is where I met FH.

It hurts now, but I'm sure you'll count this as a blessing in disguise one day.

Good for you for having the confidence, self-worth, and smarts to walk away! Many people wouldn't have the courage to do that, especially so close to the wedding day.
